Welcome!
Browning House is located in east Ogden, one of many historic mansions originally constructed in the early twentieth century in what is now recognized as the Eccles National Historic District.
The Mission-style mansion was constructed in 1911 by the family of John Browning, a world renowned inventor and gunsmith who founded Browning Arms.
Jerry Spangler and Donna Kemp Spangler acquired the mansion in 2005 and began a painstaking four-year renovation to return the grand masterpiece to its original glory.
Hardwood floors buried below carpets were carefully refurbished, the kitchen was updated with modern conveniences, and each room was restored with Arts & Crafts-era colors.
Today, the mansion boasts nearly 6,000 feet of space, all immaculately restored with an eye towards historic accuracy.
It is our pleasure to have you as our guests.
